Your nearest wet market - just ask the butcher. Sometimes yes; sometimes no. $50 a knife - maybe more than a local would pay but I can't barter in Cantonese.

there was an old man roaming around midlevels a few years back...he was shouting in chinese to advertise his services and i was told he was sharpens knives for a living. haven't heard from him for a while now...

Lucky for us our helper is very good at sharpening knives then. ;) She also hates dull knives so she'll sharpen them on her own initiative.
