which LCD TV to buy

I am confused which LCD Panel to Buy - LG 26" OR SAMSUNG 26". LG Model # LG 26LG30R or SAMSUNG Model # LA26A350C1.

As I see it, SAMSUNG appears better coz of natural colors whereas LG has so much of sharp and artificail colors. Is there any much of technical difference? Can someone help

Probably not a huge difference as long as the specs are nominally the same. Both brands are good "names".


Once you've eliminated technical factors, it's a subjective thing. Which picture do you like better? Does the TV itself look "good"?

At that size, it really doesn't matter much as long as the specs are almost the same and you're getting similar picture quality. It's when you get over 42" that the picture starts to really make a huge difference. Mind you that watching local over the air stuff will always be blurry anyway, specially on larger sets (smaller sets will always look clearer too). Watching HD videos on the other hand will make all the difference! Compare them while watching HD programs or Bluray stuff.


For your two choices, Samsung beats LG in HDTV for my opinion. What about Sony or Sharp? These brands have been in the forefront of this technology and will mostly be superior to "newer" brands. I have both these brands (Sharp Aquos 42" & Sony Bravia 46") and both have their pros and cons. Neither one is "perfect".
