Great. Thanks. They only do internet orders? And I assume that these WII are using HK power supply?

As far as I know they don't do internet order. I went there in person and they placed an order for me because they didn't have one at that time and later they called me in about 3-5 days to tell me that they got it. You go there and see it at the shop, check etc. and pay. They also have there the HK power cord because the unit comes with the US power one. it's about 40hkd or so.

Just so you know, because there is no office in HK of Nintedo you will only have a 1 week guarantee only in case the unit does not work when you get home, but this is like that whereever you go in HK.

You get one Sport game and since it's US version you also get the proper silicone sleeve protection for the remote.

I dont know what it's like with the japanese version.

Thanks for your help!

The WII is about $100 AUD cheaper than Australia and the PS3 is about 200$ cheaper.

What about games though? If I get a US console can I buy games here or do I need to import them all from the USA

I don't know how things work with PS3 but I can assume it's like wii.

With wii, if you have a US console you can play only US games. Again, I don't know which consoles are used in Australia. But basiacally if you buy US console you can take it with you where ever you go just make sure you have the right games for that console.

In HK they sell only Japanese and US consoles, so you can find only these games on the market here. You can tell if the game is for US or Jap wii by words on the package (if you understand it, it's US and if not, it's Jap :-p ).

They also sell US games in that shop but I tried looking at other shops and found games for cheaper. It's a question of time basically to look around. Just make sure you buy original games (that is unless you modify it and so on).

I speak Japanese ;) But no, I would prefer English anyway since that's what my native tongue is so would go for the US game. If I can buy games for it here that's great.

Not interested in modding the PS3 or WII.

"I speak Japanese ;) "

I was affraid you were going to say that :)

Before you buy games, look around. You will be amazed by the difference in prices if you go to the large toys shops.

Also another thing about the wii is if you have young kids you can buy at that shop a card which is called "wii points"

http://www.directbuyhk.com/sub_category.asp?pageno=7&sub_cate_id=8DD8B7E6-B0C8-4AA9-95F7-6105D07AED64

with this card you connect your wii to the web and you can download simple games, some are more fun and educational, for children. For the 2000 points you can get 3 nice short games.

If you do go to that shop, tell them the price you saw on the site as a quote for the wii. For some odd reason this shop has two sites, one in Chinese and another in English. In the English one the price for the wii is about hkd200 more than in the Chinese one. They didn't argue with me or anything like that but just to be safe say that you saw it on thier site for the price you see on the Chinese one.

Enjoy and don't forget to put the strap when you play ;)
