I'd like to surprise my husband with a one week trip to Sydney in early Jan.

I was just wondering if there were any nice places to stay in Sydney that is not too painful on the limited budget that I have.

Any recommendations would be extremely helpful. Much thx in advance!

motels around inner west would be the cheapest or how about caravan stay. these are the cheapest choices. Hotels in the city the cheapest i've heard of is around $HK1K per night at least.
