I would like to scotch guard my suede shoes and I am looking for a dry cleaner (or any other place) who provide this service. I remember the British dry cleaner next to Landmark (in the HMV building) used to do this but they seem to have moved...

No need. Just go to any shoe store and buy a can of water repellent spray (<$100). It's the exact same thing as Scotch Guard, just the branding is different! You can use it many more times on other shoes and bags as well.

I was advised that water repellent may stain the leather (it's a light creme colour beige).
I would used a water repellent spray if it's a darker colour though...

FYI all water repellent spray cans come with the same warning. I've used many different brands (Kiwi, 3M, Penguin, etc) all from large manufacturers and haven't ruined a shoe, jacket or bag yet. Can be used on leather, suede, cloth. Saved me lots of $$$ just doing it myself and for my wife!
Just make sure you read the instructions carefully and test on another object in case you're not sure of the spraying distance. A safe distance is about a foot (12") away from the shoe/jacket/bag making sure the surface is fully coated with a THIN layer and never soaking wet. Also the object should be dry and clean of dust as much as possible for the coating to adhere and work properly.
