Garden centre

Does anyone know of any good nurseries/garden centres in and around HK? I know Prince Edward is popular for plants but they are small shops and I am looking for a full fledged gardening centre with plants, stuff for landscaping, automatic irrigation systems etc. Thanks

I don't know of any places with both the supplies and the plants.

For slightly larger nurseries:

- Opposite Ocean Park just outside the south end of the tunnel

- Two in Pok Fu Lam.

- Sai Kung

As for tools and so forth, Wing-On has a good range, but mostly in summer.

Go down Hirams Highway (Sai Kung) there are lots of nurseries but in particular near Hebe Haven Yacht Club, is a place called Ka Lok Horticulture... worth the trip and you'll find a lot of what you want.

Also just up from Ka Lok horticulture on the next left is KK's garden centre.

I will chime in and say that Ka Lok is indeed very good.

Thanks.

Take the MTR to Choi Hong then take the exit which says Minibuses to Sai Kung. Get on the green minibuses 1A or 1M and tell the driver Fat Kwong Miew (Fat Kwong Temple). The ride should take about 15 mins before you get there. Next to Kalok there is KK and the guy there Pedro (the son of the owner), is really helpful and knowledgeable. And speaks perfect English.
