Hey,everyone. Have you ever heard of New Generation Language Training Ltd ? I got an offer there lately, and am considering taking the shot. However, I've googled it many times. What I found is only their official website. Not single piece of news/information came up.

So my qeustion is: is this company trustworthy?

Thanks for any input.

There are many tutorial centres that employ English teachers in Hong Kong. You should really check their background before taking on the job.

Are they registered with Education Bureau?

Number of years operating?

Client base?

Management?

etc.

Thanks, gill. I called Education Authority just now. However, they are off already.

Will try to reach them tomorrow. But thank you for such a great tips.

By the way, I have never been to the office. I just sent my CV to them and got an offer quite soon. And a guy requested meeting-up somewhere else but his office. So i really cant tell whether they are fake or me being narrow-minded.

Just keep you updated. I could not find any related information neither by calling the hotline nor by searching their company name in education bureau search-engine. Am really in doubt now.

If you haven't been to their offices, you should go and check it out personally. A bit odd they would interview outside if they are located in good premises. Potentially they are just using this address.

All tutuorial schools MUST be registered with the EMB (Education & Manpower Bureau). Perhaps the registered company name is different than the brand name. Or maybe the EMB database is not updated?

SO that is exactly what i mean. Too tricky. However, I think i will take the risk of checking out the premises this weekend to dig out more. As a professional system, i suppose EMB database should be updated frequently. Otherwise, it doent hold any authority among us. Thank you both.

Like cara say not really true and as she said it depends on how many students you have. Also there are companies that "provide" English teachers to schools and also run courses in NGO and government centres that do not have to be registered either.
