A couple of questions for Park Island residents:
1) I understand taxis are normally not allowed, but do they waive this rule or have some other arrangements for emergencies? Specifically, I am due to give birth at Matilda hospital and don't fancy bouncing around on a ferry in labour - or worse, discovering they won't take me! (Emergency ambulances are not an option as they won't take you to private hospitals.)
2) How easy is it to get furniture delivered? Are there time restrictions on when delivery trucks can come?
3)What do you do if you are coming from the airport with lots of baggage (as we will be when we relocate shortly to HK)? It would be a nightmare on a shuttle bus with two young kids. I read somewhere that Park Island has its own limos available. Is that correct?
Many thanks.

Taxis are allowed between 11pm and 7am.
I believe in an emergency you can ask management to drive you to where you need to go but it would have to be an emergency. The ferry isn't too bad and I'm sure they'd take you.
Very easy to get furniture delivered. Ikea delivered most of mine with no problems and most companies can deliver any day between 10am and 4pm. If you have your own just fill out a form and let management know the rego number or name of your removalist and they'll let them in.
From the airport your best bet is the shuttle bus. I've done it before with two young kids and lots of baggage. As soon as you load the baggage it's fine. When we arrived home hubby took the baggage to the aptment and I waited at bus stop with remaining luggage and kids then hubbby came back for us after the first frop off. Unfortunately there is no other way, unless you're arriving after 11pm and then you can just catch a taxi.
Not sure about limos. Never required one myself.
Hope this helps.
