Taste have the "organic" chicken broth in liquid form. I use that because I am allergic to msg and it's not salty, although I'm not sure if there is no salt at all.
Perhaps that could work for you?

tks! but it's for my dog who's sick so it really needs to be unsalted

perhaps you can make it yourself. It's quite simple, you should be able to make some yourself. Just omit the sale part.
Makes 2 litres
Ingredients
Large (1.6kg) chicken, rinsed
1 large onion, quartered
1 leek (white part only), chopped
3 celery stalks, quartered
2 garlic cloves, bruised with side of a knife
2 bay leaves
1 tsp whole black peppercorns
Method
Put ingredients in a stockpot with 1 tbs sea salt and cover with water. Cover with a lid, then bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Turn chicken. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer uncovered, skimming foam from surface, for 11/2 hours or until meat falls from bone. Remove chicken. Strain stock through a muslin-lined sieve. Discard solids.

If you can't get any, you could make your own - roast a chicken for yourself tonight and then make a stock with the bones (it freezes really well)?

tks a lot! why didn't i think of that... if i make it myself - that will have no sodium??

As long as you don't add any salt (or use salted butter on the chicken skin) when roasting it, it will be fine. Use some vegetable oil/ olive oil instead if you want to basted it.
Just boil the bones/bits of fat/gristle in plenty of water - and add some veggies to the stockpot too - carrots are always good.

GREAT has it. You can find it on top of the pre-packed meat section opposite of the meat counter. No salt added.
Re making your stock yourself I must disagree with the posts above. Always use raw meats, your biggest pot and no salt. For yoru dog, I would also avoid vegetables, after all you want a meat stock, not a vegie stock. Boil the hell out of it What you want to do is to suck out all the salts, oils and flavours from the meat into the water by way of osmosis (remember chemistry in school?). After a while, the meat becomes pretty much devoid of flavour. If you need the stock to be stronger, reduce it thereafter. Salt and flavours should be added last minute. Remeber that flavours are contained in the fat. So. don't cut of any fats before boiling. Better to take of some of the fat after the stock is done. I recommend buying chicken bones, don't bother with the breast meat for the stock. Cut it of the chicken and grill it for yourself.
