Hello readers
Living in Guangzhou now, wanna move to Hong Kong, the city of small appartments. But I heard that there is a transformation going now in the new territories or those places which used to be dominated by factories. Appearantly people start to move in those old factories and transform those buildings in artist villages. Heard many stories, but no proper leads. Has anybody heard about this too and if so where to start?
Hope to get some leads
Thanx
AJ

You're most likely talking about Fotan, which is more like an industrial zone than a village. The spaces are located in huge old factory buildings. They are nice and I think 1000 square feet is around $7000 HKD/month. There seem to be alot of artists there, yet there isn't a tight knit artist community. To find one of these spaces, I would suggest visiting Fotan and going to one of the local real estate offices (that's how real estate works in HK). Good luck!
