_how long does a re-chargeable AAA battery last ?


_when ( how) do I know if the battery is dying ( other than I can't charge them any more ) ?

You mean how many cycles? Under a hundred for the plain store bought ones at a guess.


You will know it is dying once the charge is very small, as in your appliance doesn't "last very long".

"And rechargeable batteries do not care for excessive charging - you can quickly "kill" an expensive Laptop battery by not removing it when running on the mains for days at a time."


A good laptop is "smarter" than that and has logic that will ensure the battery is not damaged.
