Or look around for a charitable organisation to help during the festive season.

For example, the China Coast Community. Go to visit some old folks.

Hi criag, We belong to ambassador international church that meets in the conrad at 10.30 on a sunday.we will be away at christmas but lots of our mainly expat congregation will be around. why not come and join us and see who we are.

i hope you find a base for Christmas.
