Chinese Visa issuance does not make sence!

Im a non - HKID holder (uk passport), and i have in the past obtained a Multi entry tourist visa from Hk for China. Since the lift of the olympic visa ban, they still do not issue multiple entry visas to non hkid holders, only double. However they can be issued in your home country.

I just dont understand why they are doing this? If they dont have a problem with non-hkid holders having multi entry visas, why dont they issue them? What confuses me is in every other country, the chinese embassy will issue multi entry visas to any permitable nationality, regardless of residency status.

Does any one know if the same applies in Macau?

I renewed my multi 12 month entry visa in hk at the end of september with out any problem. I do not have the website address for you but if you spend a bit of time searching you will come across Beijing's official instructions for applying. While it is never guaranteed if you follow the instructions I think your chances will improve.
