Chinese New Year's is the end of Jan 2009 this year. Where can we go that time of year where we'll have sunny beaches and is also a direct flight from HK?

We'll be spending the week in Bali (direct flight 4.5 hrs or so). Wettest time of the year for Bali but we've never suffered too much rain at that time of year - it tends to fall for an hour or so in the afternoon or overnight. More in Ubud than the coast.
Phuket is very much in season (though I'd head a bit North to Khao Lak). Also direct flights 3.5hrs or so.
Of course, most flights will have already been sold - cheap seats, at least. Book soon...
