My kids are getting a Wii from the US for xmas from their grandparents. Will we be able to buys ames here in HK for it or must all games be purchased in the US? Please advise! Thanks!

The Wii is region-locked, so you'll need to buy games that are compatible with a US console. There are firms and sites (such as http://www.play-asia.com/) that will import games, but Play Asia is the only one I know.

I thought that the Wii consoles and games you buy in HK are either US versions or Japanese versions. You'll be able to tell the difference between them...


Lots of places sell both. HK Records in Pacific Place has a particularly large selection but not especially cheap. I believe there's a place in Wanchai that sells lots of cheap Wii stuff but I've not managed to find it. They may also concentrate on the Japanese versions.
