Being a wife and a mum, my dream present, is a night away alone at a hotel with a massage and a good night sleep!!! I love my husband and kids to bits, but oh how I would just love one full night sleep. Would that be something she would like? There is always jewellery, maybe a nice pair of earings. A day at a spa for a facial or massage.
I agree about the iphone, but what about the itouch. I think you can get it not put the internet on it. Not 100% sure though, might want to check it out if you are still interested in that.

i have a thing against giving snazzy fancy gadgets for youngsters simply because it would affect their sense of work values in the future, and would de-motivate them to strive and work and earn for something they want in the future.
i.e. why would youngsters work or do anything to get something on their own when they can just get it from their parents.
the sweat of the brow would give them a better sense of satisfaction of having worked for something
how about an mp3?

For the kids.
How about a board game? Our current addiction is a game of Cluedo after dinner - both parents and kids 18, 14 and 12.
Or a WII with lots of interactive games.
Or a set of Nike runners that record your steps, distance etc to go with her Ipod - I'm having a lot of fun with my new ones but admit them being stolen by Mr 14 so he helping me clock up the clicks.
Or a label maker for the girl - don't laugh - they have been prize prezzies in the past.
Or an electronic keyboard
For the wife - tickets to Cirq de Soleil in Macau with or without the kids
