Hi all,


Whilst I've been able to curb most of my hubbie's pie cravings by baking my own meat pies, I was wondering whether there are any retailers in HK that sell meat pies?

not an aussie, but the pies in the Mandarin bakery are pretty good... not sure whether they would live up to Aussie standards, but my husband (Kiwi) seems to like them... but then again, he LOVES pies from pertrol stations in NZ!!!

Where abouts is the Mandarin Bakery ldsllvn? Don't worry about aussie standards, my hubby doesn't actually know that the supposed 'aussie pie' I make at home is actually a kiwi recipe!

Mandarin bakery is in Mandarin Oriental, funny that :). I cant believe you have not been - it is amazing!! it is on Mezzannine floor and they have the most amazing cakes ever - well and the pies are damn good! Hope you will enjoy it!

oh no.....just what my hips need... Sounds amazing!

I'm surprised my nose hadn't smelled them out yet, I'm a bakery junkie.

(Real bakeries that is, not the sorry excuses I've encountered so far in HK)

By the way, does anyone know where to buy any good home baked bread that isnt caked with sugar? All the bread ive tried has an aweful sweet taste to it.
