I am trying to find the 'shop' or street of shops in HK that sell things like a tyre pressure guage. I asked my colleagues who laughed and just said get it done in the garage...
Any ideas ?

we bought a tyre pressure guage at the car maintenace shop near the roundabout in Sai Kung. don't know what else they sell.

just a few shops beyond the roundabout at the T intersection where one turns to go to the Jockey Club. There is also a place that sells coffins in the row of shops. The shop is actually a tyre shop I think.
You can pull over and park right in front of the shop and just run in. No need to go to a car park and walk back.

Dasia - randomly I do know where the coffin shop is - thanks again. A Saturday morning trip before the crowds.
Evildeeds - NT region, Dasia's suggestion does fit the bill as fairly local.
9-11 - noted with thanks, also best to check the pessure when the tires are cold.
Next thing I will need is a foot pump...

Ah ok, well if your in the south / central NT (the advice would not be the same for the whole of the NT) then Sai Kung as Dasia mentioned or Tai Wai would be the places to go. And don't worry about a foot pump, buy one of those electric ones that plug into the car power outlet.
