Can anyone advice me on how to get the flash player?

Hopefully free of course.

I must admit that I am not Comp. Lit.

If you can watch youtube on your computer, you will have flash installed already. Otherwise

I think that is a flash player from Adobe itself. I wanted to find you the link for installing flash software so you could watch youtube in case you couldnt, the two are different.


Otherwise try this for a media player if you are interested in downloading flash video and watching it on a media player.

Brilliant peeps. I shall try. I tried to download something last night but it didnt seem to work, but as I said, I am not comp. Lit. so was prob doing something wrong hahaha

Hi digital blonde. The link that you gave... It says it is already installed. that was what I did last night, but to be honest I dont know how to get it to work hahaha so sorry for being a pain.

which link?


If its the first one, I am not too sure about it, I am not the most computer literate person myself. If Macromedia is already installed, then fine, dont worry to much about it you should be able to watch youtube, to check, go to that site and see if you can watch videos.


The second link I am a little more sure of, it is a media player that allows you to watch flash video, so if you download a youtube video it is in flash format, the file is saved as a .flv extension. Normal windows media player does not play that extension (maybe newer versions do I dont use it) the VLCC allows you to play .flv extensions, so if you download that, it is a full player.

Meaning you download a file and open it using that program by left clicking on it and selecting the "open with" option from the menu and then selecting VLC from your choices.


I am a little surprised no one else has responded there are people that visit these boards that actually know what they are talking about unlike myself.
