This is our first Christmas in Hong Kong with a child. Just wondering if any of you can help us out.
1. We were wondering if there was somewhere we could take our little girl to visit Father Christmas and have her photo taken with him?
2. Does Hong Kong have the equivalent of Carols by Candlelight?
3. We have heard that there are fireworks over the harbor. Are these on Christmas Eve? If so what time?
Thanks!

1. There is usually a Santa Village set up in Pacific Place, right in front of Grappa's
2. There are Christmas Carols aroung everywhere, check the HK Magazine for time and locations. If you live in DB they sing Carols at the Plaza every Sunday until Christmas.
3. There are no fireworks over the harbour on Christmas Eve, they should be on in Disney Land tough.

Festival Walk has the nicest Santa, although the one at Disney this year is very nice too.
Sai kung had its carol singing on fri, but check out St Johns. They do a lovely christingle service on christmas eve around 5 pm, which is part by candle light.
the fireworks are at CNY. But agree the lights in TST East are pretty good, and a walk along the harbour front is always nice to look at the lights, and you never know what you might come across, the other week when I was walking along there I came across the tail end of an open air jazz concert.
Check in The List, and HK magazine, and the HK parenting magazine to find out whats on.

We had our kids do photos with Santa at Festival Walk today and I'm happy to report it is the same Santa as last year. He is really nice and very good with the kids. He is a grandfather so is at ease with little ones, even my 6month old, he plonked him on his knee and had a good old time with him!
Definitely head out to TST Star Ferry and East if you have kids, they will go NUTS! My 5 year old just goes crazy, Hong Kong is so kitsch so of course totally geared up for the kids.
If you can make a trip out to Disney for the fireworks it was really good this year, better than last year I think (except for the hordes of people!). If you get there around 4pm, it's time to have a few rides, watch the parade at 5.30pm. dinner and then the fireworks at 8pm weekday or 9pm weekend. Go on a weekday if possible, as it's not as crazy mad with millions (just hundreds of thousands!).

What is the best place for Christmas decoration shopping? I'm looking for a mid-size Christmas tree (a fake one), the traditional Christmas lights and some ornaments for the tree. Thanks.
