People ask where to get "cheap eyeglasses made quickly" but what I am after is three or four places in or very close to Central (like Admiralty or Western) that offer a really wide range of frames, from designer to basic, and also the possibility of having simple lenses--not bifocals--made in a short time. The range of frames is probably more important than speed of making the lenses.
Let the price take care of itself. I just have clients coming in early January and they seem quite keen on having glasses made here. If anyone has suggestions I can go over in advance and inspect by myself. Thanks in advance ...

Very reliable, good price / quality ratio, branded designers & good products (essilor lenses)- 6 months garantee.
They have a devoted crowd of customers from overseas (who used to work in HK) who orders & have their glasses shipped abroad
Also the small shop in Wanchai Great Eagle Center (not far from WanChai ferry exit) is slightly cheaper, but with a smaller selection of frames

The reason I asked for Central (where I probably would not go for myself) is because the clients have limited time, don't know HK, and aren't particularly cost-conscious. But I'll keep note of your recommendation. Thanks everyone--with these and what my friends have suggested, I have enough now.
