Over the past few years we've received a couple of freebie portable DVD players that have never worked. One of them will play SOME pirated Chinese discs, but not consistently. The other has never played anything. I'm getting tired of giving them house room, but would gladly get them fixed if it didn't cost too much. Is there anywhere I can go or should I dump them?

If they're brand names and not cheapo chinese types, you MIGHT want them fixed depends on the price. However, if they're just the cheap no-brand kind, you can just toss them into the bin. A new one doesn't cost much anyway.
