Hi Ladies
With leggings being wildly popular now, everyone seems to own a pair or two. However, lately, while walking around central, I actually saw 3 different women (Western and Chinese) who wore leggings as pants!!! That's right. I saw their camel toes and everything, not to mention a clear view of their behind. As a fashion police wanabe, I was terrified to say the least. Leggings, in my opinion, should only be worn with an oversized top/shirt/tank top.
If you agree with me, the next time you see a girlfriend making that mistaken, be the good friend that you are and tell her the truth!. If you disagree with me, post here!

I think that fashion is intensely personal and doesn't need policing. Spelling and grammar, however...

No, I totally agree Angie, it's strange. Every woman at a party I just went to was wearing leggings with men's dress shirts. Was there a memo passed around?
Z I'm all for individuality but I think some people are just a bit confused about them. They're only thick stockings not actual clothing.
Next lets eradicate VPL!
But seriosuly, if it makes them happy then of course, why not.
But as a bystander, I can say it looks ridiculous.

I loved my leggings the 1st time round (OK I still have them) - but I look at the photos now and go AGGH! Those knees! Never heard of camel toes but LOL... sure as hell don't see them on the photos. An old teacher used to call them Piss Flaps. Gross - he'd get fired nowadays. (yes, HE). Oh, what's a girl to do?!

what is a camel toe??
I myself got a few well last summer and well just last saturday. I never really thought of it being a trend since i feel like everyone wears it here in tokyo. Now that you said it is then maybe it is. still i cant forget that woman who was wearing a leggins to the hospital with a shirt only up to her waist. something didnt feel right looking at her ass. it felt like she forgot her pants. here in tokyo being thin and all they like to show legs and usually wear a tiny skirt or tiny shorts on top of their leggins or thicker stockings but that woman took it to the next level and it was vulgar.
what i noticed is that since november lots of them are wearing violet colored stockings. ...???... it leaves me speechless so i just stare at them. admiring them either for pulling it off or having the courage to wear it . i mean its not easily to color coordinate it with your clothes. You dont want to look like barney going out.

camel toe - is a slang term used to define the outline of a woman's vulva shown through very tight, form-fitting clothes.
basically, don't do it.
Funny that you mentioned the neon-colored tights. I actually went out and bought a pair (the color shall remain anonymous ). The day that I planned on wearing it, told my girlfriend beforehand, who then begged me not to wear it. She said she'd be embarrassed to walk next to me!!! So being the good friend that I am, I didn't! and haven't really thought about it since.

thanks for that enlightenment :)
here in tokyo its actually bad manners not to wear socks or stockings. and during summer when they wear flip flops or sandals i notice they wear leggins. And currently what im seeing everywhere (bought myself 4 pairs coz it looks good under tmy short skirts) in the shops is demin looking leggins. i love them! explains why its 4, 2 of blue color and 2 of black.
And yes, i will never wear it exposing my camel :) ...hehehe...

Oh, saw a girl in purple tights today - fab, I have some somewhere, this may be the year to wear them.... and my old purple leggings...

I wouldn't be seen DEAD wearing leggings as pants without an oversized top or sweater!
The fashion trend I see a lot of is jeans tucked into long boots. I used to think this looked good ONLY on tall, skinny women, but it seems it's ok on small, skinny Asians. The long equestrian boots or the shorter biker boots seem to be the latest in winter boots. But me thinks if one has short legs, then...well... forget it! LOL!!

Connee...i think it has more to do on the cut of your boots. having it a few inches below the knee should do it plus 3 inch heels should do it. and yeah they like tucking their jeans in them or their leggins. im talking about the japanese. theyre tiny people and wont be separated from their shoes that change every season. i love it and im going to miss it.
i still remember last year when NHK channel announce that the next day is the official start of autumn. And though its mighty hot during this transition, some are already in their boots and doning a scarf. Its funny looking at them across the street when your waiting to cross, cause theyre standing beside those who are in their shorts and sandals :)

And jeans, pants, slacks etc that are TOO SHORT!! The Chinese, are mostly guilty of this fashion flaw I've noticed.
Oh and baseball caps worn with about two inches of air between the underside of the top of the cap and the top of the head! WTF??!!

Camel Toe, or Flange as I like to call it, should never be seen. Unfortunately it is a trend to wear legging 'jeans' ( as sported by Ms Moss.) However, in the real world, leggings should be worn as hosiery and not as a standalone garment.
If you do amble across anyone flashing their flange, please be kind and have a quiet word.

I'm curious. Under which laws do you intend to prosecute? And do the same 'laws' apply to you being present in a "Ladies only" forum. And is it acutally legal to have a "ladies only" forum? Don't discrimination laws come into play here? Just wondering.
Thanks

Under the special dispensation of the United Nations and the Rules of the Forums we hereby and herein reserve the right to suspend the account of any male who attempts to intrude on the Womens Forum (present company excepted). The reason for this rule (enacted under Mr Koffi Anan) is that men abused this forum in past years therefore resulting in the adding of the word ONLY after Women.

Ed, I think you should have used the word "suspended" instead of "prosecuted". I have visions of you sitting at your desk with a pile of handcuffs ready to pounce! lol
