Hi,
I am currently working as a teacher at a school here in Hong Kong. I don't believe in the way the school is run and I therefore wish to resign from my possition. I am not on a permanent contract (it runs till June 31 2009) and my contract does not say anything about a termination notice.
So what I want to know is; am I trapped by my contract untill June 31 2009 or can I just give my employer 1 month notice? (since my contract doesn't say anything about termination notice).
Someone told me that my employer can give me some sort of penalty (like 1 months salary) for ending the contract early - is that true?
