hi,i have three kids same senario,so just make sure u go with the childs unabrighed birth certificate and make sure all documents r not copies,if the child was born after 1998 u will get a permanant visa only ore something then after 3yrs ore something the child becomes a citizen.i started the prosess then i left one yesr later my application was busy prosessing, caus i had to wait for south africa 5months to send the unabrighed bithcertificate, and ur kid wont be alowed school attendance with a normal visa 3months ulle have to applu then they give u a 1year visa and that while u wait for the application to go through BUT remember get ALL the proofe u can caus the want papers why u want to live in hk why u want this that so just get all ur facts togetheer.
