HELP please: adding air to a car tire

ORIGINAL POST

Sorry for the basic question, but I came back from a long holiday to find all my car tires flat or very low on air.

Where can I go to fill the tires up? Do petrol stations have air hoses here in HK? My last resort would be to call the emergency roadside service folks.

Thanks

Yes, all the petrol stations have air. But, if you tyres are flat it may not be a good idea to drive to one. If you have Roadside membership I'd suggest calling them first.

aargh, my roadside assistance insists I have the car towed, as there could be punctures in the tires...

Is the Sinopec station on MacDonnell Road the closest petrol station to Seymour Road?

Go to a car accessories store and buy either a foot pump or an electric pump. I use an electric one that plugs into the car and it works great. Better than getting all sweaty in the summer using a foot pump.

There is a bicycle shop on Wanchai Rd. near CC Wu They will have pumps

concluded I need an electric foot pump to get the car to the nearest mechanic...

Any car accessory shops one can recommend in the Central/Sheung Wan/Wan Chai areas? Trying not to visit Mongkok and SSP unless necessary.

is the spare flat? That would get you one wheel pumped up. Anyone else with a similar car and hence spare? change 4 wheels and you can drive with your wheels in the boot. Might be easier just to head to Mongkok and buy an electric pump though.
