Are there any charitable organizations in HK that would take donations of used furniture and electrical appliances? And any that would come and collect the items?

For the bulkier items, you might want to try Remar (work@remarhongkong.com) www.remarhongkong.com. They do come to pick up, but ask for a donation to pay for the tunnel tolls and petrol fees. (They don't insist on the donation though.) I've donated to them before and they showed up on time and were pretty efficient.

U may contact Banyan Elderly Services in Wong tai sing, they serves many elders who live alone and would appreciate used electricity app. :)
