I've currently got a Baby Bjorn but my little one is now 11 months and although she fits in it fine it is not comfortable any more.
Does anyone have an Ergo? How do you find it with older babies? Is it just as good at the back as the front? Any experiences would help
many thanks

The ergo is great for the comfort with the weight distribution, as it is much more through the waist (just like if you used a large backpack). You can use it front / back or side. I love it unfortunatley my son is not so keen apart from when he is on the front which still is not great for lots of use as he is quite hefty now (13Kgs and 2years old) and still leads to backache. The only problme with being on the back (when I can persuade him) is it allows access to so many things at that height that you can't keep an eye on them so easily.

My 2yo loves the back -- she refers to it as the "baby backpack." I tend to carry her on my shoulders a lot if she gets too tired to walk, so it's not like she suddenly had access to things she otherwise wouldn't, but if I know that we are going to be walking too far for her little legs or if we are going to be in crowds or if I really need my hands free [like if she's sick and wants to be held and I need to take care of her baby brother] it's great.
Side position is also really wonderful. Not quite as comfy as front with baby or back with toddler but much better than front with toddler.
My only complaint was that my wee one grew out of the infant insert before he was comfortable in the facing me position, so I think it's not so great from about 2-4 mo [well, my kid jumped up to the 95%ile, so mileage may vary].
The other thing that we haven't quite got figured out [but is true of pretty much all baby carriers] is how to dress when it is really cold? Put the baby in it's own snowsuit and wear over the parent's coat? Quite bulky and hard to manage. Put the baby in indoor clothes with hat and button inside parent's coat? Really requires a much larger coat for the parent. Tie a blanket around the baby and leave parent's coat unbuttoned? Might as well be carrying the baby in your arms.
Relatively pricey, though, so try with your own baby before you make a decision. There are lots of places that it can be adjusted, and we find that it really requires a lot of adjustments switching between babies, between parents and between positions.

I decided to get one and bought the last one B2B in Central had ($785), maybe Horizon Plaza has some.
I've only tried it for 10mins so far but it feels much better.

ClaireHK,
The day after having read your post, I was in Central with my baby in the Bjorn and my shoulders were killing me! (Baby is 8kgs, 17 pounds)
I walked into B2B, hoping a miracle had occurred and they would have one more Ergo in stock. And lucky me! They had one!!
When I changed into the Ergo, I felt like flying! This is a great carrier... Not to say Bjorn is not, but as other people had mentioned, it is better for smaller babies...
