Hi i'm looking for some small quantities of plain, thin. leather material. Anyone have any idea where I can get it? I've tried the places in Megabox, which are hugely overpriced and would prefer somewhere local.

Try "A Beauty Shoes" in Mirador mansion on 54-64 Nathan Road in TST (exit D). It is on the ground floor inside the building shopping arcade, location 48. Their normal business is custom shoes, bags, jackets, wallets and such but they have droves of material in the corners. You can find cow leather, ostrich, crocodile, eel, snake, etc. in various colors.

I don't know if they're still going but a few years ago I picked up a card from Johnson trading Co, 114 Portland Street, Kowloon (Tel: 2332 5832, fax: 2332 4718)
I think it was in the Mongkok area; I'd written exit B2 on the back of it so it must be fairly near the MTR. The shop had loads of leather for sale in varying quality. They quoted me $20 a square foot (for a leather headboard), but it was a while back.
