Help! Advice Needed On Joint Ownership Of Property...

Our six year relationship came to an end recently, during which we bought an apartment together. I offered to move out in order for her daughter to have stability/security after we agreed to sell the place.


We are listed as co-owners on the deed, although we were not married. The mortgage was on the strength of my income, she works but has never declared her salary. I paid the mortgage for the first 2 years; she has taken over the payments, although I am still repaying a related credit card loan (which we needed to make up the initial deposit).


She now refuses any form of communication. My question is can I force her to sell, or even rent out the premises at a market rate? Can I sell my share? It seems unfair that I am paying full rent while she pays just $3k...


Any anecdotes/legal advice is welcomed...
