My one year old has been cranky as all heck these past few days. I thought it was because of his cough and stuffy nose, but today he grabbed my finger, put it in his mouth and chomped down. That's when I realized that the kid is getting his first molar in on the bottom!! But it's strange because he only has his front two teeth on bottom and three on top. I know typically they're supposed to erupt in order. Is this just one of those things that's abnormal but normal?

It is not abnormal. The order can vary quite widely.
The "typical" order is this, but as mentioned no worries if molars come out before all the front teeth.
- Middle bottom two front.
- Top four front.
- Outer two front.
- Inner molars.
- Canines and outer molars.
