Does anyone know I can get Thai wooden deck tiles? I have seen the wooden tiles sold in B&Q and Patio Mart, but these have smooth surface. I am looking for the ones that are not smooth. I understand from a friend thy can be bought from Thailand. She has some but cannot remember where she bought in from since it was years ago. Has anyone bought these wooden tiles from Thailand? Would appreciate any leads.

You can get them in Shenzhen. Very cheap and made to order any colour any finish. You will need to do some leg work to find the place. It is called in English the Golden Building Market. If you get a taxi and ask them to take you to the building supplies market, then I am sure they will know it. It on the 3rd ring road. Maybe someone here can say in Chinese for you.
It will save you a lot of money. I bought most of the building supplies from there, red patio tiles for an extensive balcony and wooden decking. It was less than half the best price I could get in HK.

Thanks EXpatlady for the info. What are patio tiles? Do you know the type of wood used for wooden decking and whether they have been treated for outdoor use? Do they deliver to HK or you manage to bring them yourself? Thanks so much for your advice.

Red Terracotta Tiles, natural clay. The wood can be treated pine or various hard woods all colour finishes. Yes all treated for outdoor use. They deliver to HK almost everyday. Its a fixed price, pretty cheap and the lorry just arrives with your stuff.
