Children's Bikes

I am wanting to find bikes for my 4 and 6 year old and wonder if there is cheaper place than Toys R Us. Also, any advice for a good place for them to ride bikes? We live in Mid-Levels but can catch a taxi or something if you know a safe place for kids to learn to ride bike.

re. Where to take your kids cycling -- for a short trip I would suggest you go up to the Peak. For a day out, go to Sha Tin (adults and kiddie cycles are also for rent there) or Sai Kung or Tai Po.

I got my boys' first bikes at Toys Club, they were inexpensive and lightweight (especially the Thomas the Tank ones) and have stabilisers. Recently for my 5 year old I went to B2B and bought a Raleigh one with no stabilisers.

Go to 188 Wan Chai Road and cross the street. You'll find bikes which are much cheaper than at toys R us! Good luck.

PS...The waterfront park by Cyberport is a wonderful place to let the kids ride bikes.
