long pulse laser versus RF versus...? confused

Hi can anyone out there offer some solid advice : I want to have skin treatment essentially to give a little "lift" to my stressed out face - smooth out the lines etc etc


- I tried Long Pulse Lasar at a clinic in Mong Kok (cost $2000) which gave me great results but the guy doesnt have the machine anymore -

Its really difficult to pick through the clutter of beauty stuff advertised out there to find what actually works and what is just hype... (also cannot understand Chinese so just really dont know whats true and whats not)

I tried RF a while ago in Bangkok done by a dermatologist - great result - but apparently results vary depending ont he TYPE of RF machine used (or is that more hype? not sure) - most beauty salons use low strength machines apparently so the result is not worth the time or money...


Prices vary dramatically as well


Basically I had a treatment using a YAG long pulse lasar - which is what I would like to find again - can anyone tell me where to go - its so hard to communicate in Hong Kong not knowing the language!

Can't help you a lot there, but i would say, like that, that you should probably go & have a treatment made by a real dermatologist (= a doctor who specialized in dermatology), as they are likely to have the right equipment and know what /how to use it, depending on your skin needs.

They also know what NOT to do on your skin, as well.

Maybe you could add information about your age and if your skin is Asian or from another ethnicity, as it would probably affect the kind of treatment you need (40 yo East-Asian skin tends to look much younger than it's European countepart...)
