can someone tell me how to discard unwanted appliances? I have a Siemens clothes dryer which broke down a few weeks ago. I have no intention to have it repaired since I'm moving to a new place soon and will install a new dryer.

REMAR is an associastion tht rehabilitates drug addicts and alcoholics. They will collect electrical appliances for a HK$500 tax deductible donation by calling tel. 3193-4919. Perhaps you can get together with friends to include several appliances and share in this.
Otherwise there is ADPL Social Enterprise tel. 2743-7930 who will also collect unwanted appliances.
