Can anyone please advise me?


The Labour Department informed me about the compensation amount mid last year. The company ( a very well known one) has not paid me till date. Now they have started calling asking for sick certifiactes instead. The LD says that the company has to pay up anyways, I dont owe them any sick leave certificates now. The LD also said that they will talk to the company. Calls from company have yet been coming thorugh, but no compensation.

I am fed up & angry now...what can I do ??

1. I have not been paid by my company on a work injury. The payment is overdue by 9 months in March.

2. My company keeps asking me for sick certificates now but the LD says I dont owe them any, as the case is closed.

3. What steps do I take to get my company to pay up with interest? Can I sue my Company as they have not paid me till date? Do I need to see a private lawyer or do I go back to the LD to get this sorted.

Hope this is more clear now.

The company will probably try to discount your paid sick leave relating to the injury from the compensation.
