My best friend is getting married, and there are 4 bridesmaids but there is only me in Hong Kong (where the wedding is) so the task of organising the Hens night is my responsibility... I want to make it really special and so I need serious help!
Venue... this needs to be somewhere around Soho, I was thinking the upstairs of Cru. Its inside, originally I wanted a terrace but as a lot of the girls coming won’t be coping very well with the humidity (Wedding is mid April) it’s possible best to go be inside and it’s a private space which is important. Any suggestions? Needs to fit 25ish people...
The evening will start nicely, Champagne, chatting lalala... all the girl will write personal notes to the bride and we’ll create a scrap book as a memory of the night
Games: Any recommendations?... Keep in mind that the Grooms sister will be there so nothing (too) tasteless!
*Most embarrassing moment – Everyone writes down their moments and the bride has to guess who the story is about.
*Bride vs. Sister – Show photos of the Groom plus total randoms to the bride and the sister and they have to guess.
*What would he say? Ask the bride questions and she has to guess how the groom responded.
.... and that’s all I have...
Challenges (for later in the night):
*Walk through the bar with your skirt caught in your knickers/toilet paper caught in your pants
*Convince someone you're Irish
*Sing a show tune in the middle of LKF plus dance moves.
Costume:
Make her dress up – this is sorted... good old Shenzhen!

There is a great little champagne bar in Soho, Soiree and it's off Staunton Street. I'm not sure if it's still around.
As for games, there is the one with the toilet paper, sticky tape etc - you break the gals into groups and they have to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper. It might be difficult out but you could have them make her a boquet of flowers or a veil.
Another game is to ask the bride 20 questions prior to the hen's night. The questions are typed up and you have everyone to answer the questions. The bride than answers the questions and you find out who know her the best.
Some questions could be:-
Once the bride and groom get married, who will do more chores around the house?
What thing does the groom do that annoys the bride the most?
If the bride could throw one thing away that the groom owns, what would it be?
What is the bride’s favourite drink?
What is the bride’s pet name for the groom?
What is the groom’s pet name for the bride?
If the bride had to marry a movie star who would it be?
Where did the bride meet the groom?
Challenges...
- get a group of guys to sing "you've lost that loving feeling"
- Chat someone up in a funny voice
- Approach a stranger and be adamant that you know each other well
- Have a man autograph a specified body part or item of clothing
- Have your photo taken with the police
- Kiss guys on the cheek whose names spell out her name
I hope that helps. :)
