I am trying to see if any of you would purchase a book that tells you where to buy or find everything in HK.
I find the yp just don't offer enough info.
Any feedback is appreciated.

There are 2 books I think are good:
Everything Hong Kong or
The Big Red Book - the guy who has a column in HK Magazine
I have recommended both these books to my clients who have just moved here.
Both books can be found in Bookazine in Princes Bld, Central and probably Dymocks also in the same building, although both bookshops have various other locations around HK. Highly recommend investing in a discount card - pay $100 for a discount card at Bookazine and you get 15% every purchase. Dymocks also has a card which you gain points on every purchase which then can be redeemed against future purchases.
