Depands on what kind of school you are attending. International or government? The people you are going to meet. Foreigner or local?
Generally people won't accept those dress code with sexual appeal...no jeans is a must most of the time.

The AWA does a trip to a wholesaler in deepest Kowloon, they had some very fancy gowns when I went about 2 years ago. They might be able to put you in touch with the lady who still runs it- she's very nice & would probably give you the address if you've missed the trip. Also try Tun Yuen Hong- one in Lee Garden rd., nr Hennessy Rd, Causeway Bay and one on Johnston Rd, Wanchai, near Bullock & Burrows Streets.
