Linda Shevloff at www.iyengaryogahongkong.com is one of the best yoga teachers in South East Asia. Her Studio on Wing Lok St is about a 5 min walk from the IFC. You can buy one off classes or packages. She's absolutely brilliant, hugely knowledgeable and it's a lovely studio. Good luck !

I've had lots of teachers in Asia and Europe and a good few in Hong Kong. You won't find better than Linda Shevloff at the Iyengar Yoga Centre . It's not just that she's an expert herself, she knows how to teach others what she knows. The Studio has very small classes and you don't have to get roped into a package like many places elsewhere. Unlike a most yoga classes where students are encouraged to independently "find their way" by imitating the teacher, Iyengar Yoga is more verbal and precise, with misalignments and mistakes actively corrected. You use props such as blocks and ropes in the classes. This means you can gain a lot more from the poses what ever your level. It takes years to train to be an Iyengar yoga teacher. So you are guaranteed a teacher who knows their stuff.

There can only be ONE answer to this question: Linda Shevloff and her team of teachers in the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. It is the perfect place to try yoga, you need no subscription, can walk in and pay for the classes you take and do not have to subscibe; Linda is super experienced and focused, and what you learn there is rooted in the most comprehensive yoga teachings of today. Small, personal classes, teachers assisting, challenges for the students taken care of. You'll see! Let me know how you got on!

Just been to Linda Shevloff. What a great teacher ! She gave lots of attention and feedback. I'd like to try anahatayoga too. Do they teach meditation there ? Thanks for the tips.
