Hi,



Can anyone tell me where can I buy Sichuan chilli and pepper since I have tried Sichuan food and would like to cook myself . But I have no idea where to buy these stuff since I am not familiar HK.

Can tell me where and how to go there will be really appreciate . thanks

You're looking for Sichuan peppercorns. They definitely sell them at the traditional markets, but you have to find the shop/stall that sells "dried goods"

Problem with buying them in small shops here is I've found there is very little smell or flavour. I'm not getting that amazing tingly sensation I wanted! I was wondering if I've been unlucky every time I've bought a handful out of big dusty jars (from various places) and they really have all been stale, or am I supposed to toast them first or something?
