I am so frustrated, since my son cries almost every night but he is already 1 year old. He is not sick nor hungry or feeling hot or cold. He still drinks milk at night and even after that, he cries.
I have no idea why he is like that. Could you give me some advice? Thanks

It's not abnormal. Some kids are just like that. It can be traumatic to sleep alone ina room.
Does it happen when you put him to bed or at some other time?
Maybe he is frightened by some noise?

He is now sleeping with my domestic helper. The situation has improved since he started sleeping with her, but he still cries a lot. But he sleeps more soundly during the daytime, as from my observation. So I don't think noise is a matter here, maybe because he is afraid of darkness, I guess.

Sounds pretty normal then. Maybe you need to shorten his naps a bit so he sleeps more heavily at night.
BTW I'm going to judge here and say that in my opinion it's your job to sleep with the child, not your helper's.
