Ed, would it be possible to store historic posts on particularly long threads elsewhere and then start the newly shortened thread with a link to the older comments. Or something like that. I enjoy reading the CRISIS thread but it now takes quite a while to load up.

I think there's that thread and the one on the property market that would qualify as super long... I'll check on what it would take to have some sort of archive option and if its not a major undertaking we will consider. Sites are being completely recoded at the moment and the forums are already done so we'd have to hold till the relaunch
