Humidity = spores = mold... Help!

- Dehumidifiers on while not at home.

- I agree the dehumidifier noise is annoying, but some of the more expensive ones are pretty quiet and can work when you are home.

- If you are going to be away more than overnight, put the dehumidifier close to a drain and use the hose connection option to keep it on 24/7. Make sure your dehumidifier supports this. Keeps the place nice and dry. Might be a bit stuffy when you come back, but deffo cheaper than running a/c.

- In every clothes drawer and every clothes wardrobe, put a dehumidifying "tub". You can buy these at the supermarket, Japan Home, etc... Change when full. This really keeps the mold away.

The humidity is more visible up on the hills, but it is still quite present at sea level. I think the hygrometer is over 80% these days. Should stay there until October. Ah, HK summer! :)
