Shenzhen visas at border ... again

ORIGINAL POST

Hi

Haven't been to Shenzhen for a while and have family visiting soon. Can an NZ passport holder still get a Shenzhen visa at the border (having changed back again post-Olympics)?

Is it still RMB only (RMB150?) and not able to pay with HK$?

Thanks

Hi there, NZers can get visas over the border and it is a little more than HK$150 now (I think) even though on the board, near the visa office which has prices listed, it was still the old price.

Hi, been there today. New visa office and new "take a numbered ticket" system but can get visa at the border. RMB160 for NZ passport. Cannot use HK$ but they have a conveniently placed money exchange outside the visa office. Didn't see the exchange rates but expect that they are not great but that is the price for convenience.

How about Indian passport holders with HK permanent ID? Been there once about 3-4 months back and were asked to go back. Desperate to go to Shenzen, but can't bear being turned back again.
