Hi, All
I am moving to HK with my 3 years old.
Am not able to find which immunization injection is required by HK helth department.
Anyone has idea?
Seems HK has more requirements than my country.
Do I need the record translated in Chinese?

What school specifically are you looking at?
In general the requirements are the same as the US ones, with the addition of TB (I think).

Hi, axptguy38
Thanks again for your reply.
Well, we have not decided which one. Instead of having home helper/nanny, here I am seeking kindergarten.
Anfield International Kindergarten sounds good, but we first decided the short-term apartment in olympic. Have not yet been to the apartment yet, so not sure which one is convenient, and good for my child.
Do not wish to put her into very local kinder nor international but has too much local kids. For me, some local people behavior is not acceptable...
Do not even know when new term starts....
And again, we be HK for only 5 months to start. Found one summer class starts on April 21st. (but not plan to put my child in, as parent's attendance is required)
How about BCG?
Thought US do not require that one.
My home country also do not require hepatis B nor A.

I got one more question.
Do you know if there is any internatinal womens club, or international kids play group in Hong Kong? (Guanzhou has one...)

Not to derail the thread but western style kindergartens with whole day care are not so common in HK. That's because most westerners have helpers.
You will find it especially hard to locate a kindergarten that takes kids without someone accompanying before 2½ years or so.
I know you said you don't want a helper, but actually not having one can be rather tricky in HK. Society, especially for expats, is rather adapted towards having a helper.
Sorry to bring up new issues here...

Terms for pre-schools are not a rigid thing. Kids come and go all the time.

I don't know if HK schools require it but I would deffo get those for your child. Very common diseases in the area.
