We'd like to move our 7 month old into the same room with the 2 year old. Any advice on what issues are likely to pop up and possible solutions?
FWIW, the 2yo is really excited about the prospect -- I told her that before we can move him into her room, she needs to be able to sleep all night and stay in bed until day every night -- and she had a sudden and dramatic increased ability to do so [to be fair, this also corresponded with us giving her an alarm so that she could be sure if it was day or still night].

We did this at pretty much the same age. If the older one is in on the plan it works well.
Older one needs to understand if she wakes younger one up she gets no attention whatsoever. All attention on the little one. That drives home the message pretty fast.
