I have seen them on ferries, I don't know if it is specifically allowed. I assume it must be, but I imagine it must have a muzzle.

First Ferry rules (including Cheung Chau) are:
- Only on "normal" ferries, not slow ones.
- Only in "normal" class.
- Muzzled and leashed.

Other rules I have seen:
- On some ferries, the dog has to be in the outside area.
- On some ferries, there is an extra charge.
We didn't have a muzzle for the Lamma ferry and I don't know if that part is enforced on the Cheung Chau one. Your results may vary so I guess you should take a muzzle with you incase.

No prob.
As for muzzle, you can probably just get one of those simple strap ones. No need for the full monty basket type I think.

This information is wrong. The normal ferry IS the slow ferry. it accepts freight and animals because it is huge and with outside area.
Dogs cost the same as freight.
You can buy a muzzle at the DB pier.

Umm. I copied the info from the First Ferry website. That link seems dead now though.
