Hi. A few relatives and friends will be in HK next week and I'd like to have some sort of a barbecue party for them but I just don't know where to go. I also don't know if there are available facilities for cooking in most barbecue areas here.
One officemate mentioned Repulse Bay, another said Mui Wo. Can anyone recommend a good place for a barbecue party, preferably on a beach so kids can play in the sand...and one that is accessible from Central.

Repulse Bay does not (that I've seen). Deep Water Bay does. At the far end of the beach if you are going from Central.
There are several very nice BBW spots in Tai Tam Country Park. Walk down from Parkview and you'll walk past a few.

What do you mean by 'accessible from Central'? Pretty much everywhere in HK SAR is accessible....depends on your time limit...Cafeteria Beach in Tuen Mun has bbq sites as well, right beside the beach...accessible by Citybus 962 (not 962X) near Worldwide House in Central...
