Is it common in Hong Kong when you go away for holiday without your pet or plants (of course) to exchange the pet care service by someone with a free stay in your flat as your pet care taker ? If you know what I mean...

I don't think it's that common because many families with pets have helpers who look after the flat during holidays. However, I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to find someone who's between apartmets and who would be glad to pet-sit / flat-sit.
